Each group recovers food that would otherwise be thrown out and makes fresh hot vegetarian meals that are served in city parks. The International Vegetarian Union (IVU) (www.ivu.org) - Has been promoting vegetarianism since 1908. This site can be viewed in various languages such as French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese and German. Has an excellent set of links.
ISCOWP, The International Society for Cow Protection (http://iscowp.org) - ISCOWP 's primary concern is to present alternatives to agricultural practices that depend on the meat industry and industrialized, petroleum powered machinery.
